Today is an era of globalization and industrialization in which engineering education is essential. Only engineering education has the caliber to surpass the radical changes taking place all over the world. The global market demands a lot of qualities from engineers and S. B. Patil College of Engineering is efficiently fulfilling all the required norms and criteria's. Our college is preferred by many students because we are imparting value based quality engineering education.
SBPCOE is special both in terms of its physical beauty and location — a place where you could be away from the world, yet still be a part of it. Education and research are the twin pillars of this institute and the ambience is one in which new ideas and creativity can flourish.
The SBPCOE was built with a vision to provide technical personnel of international calibre, who would act as leaders in technology in independent India. 
The College was established in year 2009-2010. The institute has fully developed infrastructure and provides four years course leading to Bachelors degree of University of Pune in five branches namely Civil (60), Computer (60), Electronics and Tele Communication (60), Mechanical (60) and Electrical (60). The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of Maharashtra, and is affiliated to the University of Pune. In our Institute, the teaching and non-teaching staff is a blend of senior experienced and young dynamic faculty members devoted to the noble cause of education along with Staff quarters in campus. In addition to academics, the students are engaged in sports and cultural activity to provide a healthy relief from rigorous routine. Students, being heart and soul of the college, we provide special attention towards students by conducting special classes on holidays. The Institute is having a spacious ground and modern Gym and facilities for both indoor and outdoor games. 
The institute has a computerized library with Vriddhi Software which includes reference section E-Library facility and study zone for students. It has a rich collection of more than 5,000 books costing over 10 Lakh rupees. These include text books, reference books, National and International Journals and Magazines. Computer centre and Library is opened at night during exam and in PL. Our college regularly arranges National Seminars, conferences and paper presentations shortly. We also cadre the aesthetic interests of our students by organizing various cultural programs. Our college has a very rich and spacious library, well equipped laboratories. Now onwards college plans every year to conduct HRD/soft skill programs to give proper shape to our students which helps them to face Aptitude test during placement.
We, at SPVP’s S.B. Patil Engineering College, strive to cultivate students who are not only successful in their personal and professional fields, but who take upon themselves the challenge to fetch science and technology to the doorsteps of the common man and to propel India as the leader in the emerging technologies particularly in rural areas. We have initiated dialogue with reputed foreign Universities for collaboration in various fields. We have set up Training and Placement Cell where the efforts of the students are converted into a dream job offers in reputed companies at third year level. We SBPCOE assure that the performance by our students reflects the inspiration of today’s youth, get ready to face the Global Challenges!
